David Sarajishvili established the first classical brandy making technology in Georgia

1887

The first Georgian Wine brandy was lunched.

1890

Producing by classical technology of Sarajishvili cognac has been approved and it is still valid - Aging of spirits in oak barrels. After France, Georgia was the first country in the Russian Empire to start producing wine brandy and officially named it "Cognac".

1889-1912

Georgian brandy was awarded with gold medals at Paris, Brussels and Chicago international exhibitions.

During the communist period, the brandy factory became the government property and was named as “Tbilisi Brandy Factory.”

The company became the private property again, and regained the name “Sarajishvili”.

1913
